Unreal Alley

I created this project as a study of modular environment assets and material design. All assets were modeled in Autodesk Maya, Textured using Substance Designer and Painter, and rendered in Unreal Engine 4

My favorite part about this project is the water puddle textures I created in Substance Designer. By apply procedural  grunge maps to the asphalt material's roughness, the result is a stunning reflective reflective puddle effect.


These are early blockout versions of the level. 

As you can see this project came a long way from its early stages. Continually revising the lighting and texturing of the assets improved their quality. This project was one of my first attempts at creating and texturing modular assets and was a fantastic learning experience.
